Topic: Is this a wonderful world?

Our theme this term continues with the theme ‘Is this a wonderful world?’. We will be exploring whether we believe this is a wonderful world through a range of subjects.

Week 1 – RE

I know that God sent his son ‘incarnate’ to save Christians from the impact of ‘The Fall’

I know the importance of the Ten Commandments as rules that Christians live by.

I know what Christians believe to be the ‘greatest commandment’.

I know how Jesus modelled the greatest commandment through parables.

Week 2 – Music

I will know how to Sing a sea shanty expressively and with a strong beat. 

I will recap performing my vocal arrangement of What shall we do with the drunken sailor?

I will practise singing my arrangement of What shall we do with the drunken sailor?

Week 3 – Science

I will know the movement of planets in the solar system.

I will know the reason there is day and night on Earth.

I will know the movement of the Moon.

Week 4 –PSHE

I understand the importance of good hygiene routines as I grow into an adult.

I know that marriage is a commitment freely entered into by both people that no one should enter into a marriage if they don’t absolutely want to do so.

I recognise my own right to be protected from the inappropriate use of technology by others and the need to respect the rights of other users.
